Many people in this day and era already know of Thor in some form or another. We've seen representations of him in movies and in comics lately from Marvel that are close, but not 100% accurate. Thor is thought widely to have red hair and a red beard. While Thor is the God of Thunder and is considered the strongest God in Asgard, he isn't always the smartest of the Gods. Thor is often mocked because of this which leads to a rather unpleasant ending on account of his temper. He is associated with thunder, lightning, oak trees and strength.

Thor has a chariot that he rides when he leaves Asgard, pulled by two goats; Tanngniost and Tanngrisnir. When Thor is away from home longer than a day, he often cooks up one of his goats to eat, however; he uses his hammer to revive them the next morning. It's said that when we hear thunder rolling across the sky, Thor is out with his chariot and we're hearing his goat's hooves stomp across the sky. Thor's wife Sif lives with him and their children in Thrudheim “Place of Might”.

He has also been known to come to those who are in need of comforting, a softer side of this rather brawny and stoic God. He is a good friend that will always try to make your day better, even if there isn't much he can do; he'll still sit with you and comfort you as best he can until you feel better.

Thor is the God of Thunder-warrior of the battlefield. He can use his hammer, Mjöllnir; to hallow and consecrate just as easily as he can use it to demolish enemies. Another thing Thor is often called for is protection, both physical and magickal.

Many people may not realize that Thor himself has many other magickal abilities other than just his 'thunder and lightning skills. He is also proficient with protective wards and barriers and can help to drive off any unwanted or malicious beings or magick directed toward you. Thor also has his hands in agriculture believe it or not and can help to usher in good crops.
