These demons get their name because they drill holes into their horns to hang lanterns from. These demons are similar to Will of the Wisps in some ways. Many of these demons are often guides to help other beings that are lost in forests or other dark and foreboding places, however; some of these demons do enjoy leading beings farther off of their path. These beings often have small lanterns that they link onto their horns. Some use different color candles as a personal preference while others don’t care what color candle is lit in their lanterns.

Many of these demons are also able to see through the veil of darkness of lies. They can almost instantly tell when someone is lying to them and use that against a person. These demons also have some ability to see things regarding the future. Their ability is limited but they are able to see ways to get out of the darkness when their companion is in a dark area in their lives. They can help their companion take the right path to find the light.
