The Cwn Annwn are spectral hounds of Welsh lore. Hounds of Annwn to be more precise. They are associated with the Wild Hunt. It has been said that death follows anyone that hears the howls of these hounds. At a distance, their growls are loud, almost ear piercing. It's when they get so close that you can barely hear them is when you need to be truly afraid.
As companions, these hounds are anything but the scary devil hounds they've been made out to be. They are loving and energetic beings who will guard and protect their keeper fiercely once fully bonded with their human companions. They are truly man's best friend and make for wonderful guardians of children or newer keepers.
