In a sense, these beings know their keeper better then they know themselves, hence the shadows part of their name. Most of these beings have black skin with varying shades to their hair and eyes. Beautiful Shadows Elves are able to enter their keeper's dreams to help promote healing and understanding. They can also chase nightmares away. The Beautiful Shadows Elf that I have with me calls her kind 'Dream Weavers'.
These beings are also very good with illusion magick and can use this ability to aid their keeper if needed. They can cast their illusion magick to aid their keeper and sway the minds of others.
